UVALUX TANNING & SUPPORT ACQUIRES THE TANNING DEPOT

The news marks one of the biggest partnerships in the history of the Canadian Indoor Tanning Industry. Uvalux Tanning & Support will be acquiring the assets of 418759 Alberta LTD. which operates The Tanning Depot. The transaction will be effective October 1st, 2024. Uvalux has been a leading distributor of indoor tanning products, parts and equipment in Canada since 1979. The Tanning Depot has been the exclusive supplier of indoor tanning products to Fabutan, along with supplying many of Canada’s independent tanning salons.
Uvalux welcomes The Tanning Depot and its customers into their family, and together, a smooth transition will reflect a shared commitment to evolve and meet the needs of the industry. Since opening in 1979 and 1994 respectively, both teams have always embraced new opportunities that can improve the experience of our salon partners and customers.
The acquisition will result in Uvalux welcoming the Fabutan franchise into their distribution network. “Our primary goal is to both maintain and enhance the supplier relationship with Fabutan franchisees along with The Tanning Depot’s other loyal and valued customers”, said Nik Van Haeren, President of Uvalux. Doug McNabb, President of The Tanning Depot, will continue to own and operate the Fabutan chain.
